Established in 1996.
Skromlehjulet currently consists of these permanent members:
Liv Kjersti Iversen: Puppeteer and puppet maker and actress.
Roque Jimenez Palacios: Puppeteer and director.
Kjell Kåre Helgeland: Artistic director.
Torbjørn Grindheim: Musician and guitarist and actor.
Skromlehjulet is one of the few existing Free Theaters in Norway with special expertise in Puppet Theatre. We have performed in the schools all around Norway. Theater , kindergarten, institutions, private parties. National and international festivals. Skromlehjulet has won several awards for its skills and is invited to festivals around the world. Skromlehjulet Figurtheater usually works with self-produced stories and puppets, together with selected sound and visual effects. We are very keen to take care of the classic puppet theater as an important cultural heritage within this art form. In our productions, we always try to find the puppets wordless language through perfecting animation. We work with the scenic language through time, space and adapted rhythm. Our shows have proven to reach all age groups wery well. We relatively make performances for children.
